Official Bonneville County records should be requested from the office that holds the file. Court records, recorded documents, sheriff reports, jail information, and marriage licenses use different contact paths.

- Marriage licenses: contact the Recorder's Office at (208) 529-1350 ext. 1350; online applications still require in-person completion between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
- Probate, wills, guardianships, and estates: search public case status in iCourt, then request copies through court archives or the courthouse clerk channel.
- Jail roster, charges, and bond: call Bonneville County Jail Operations at 208-529-1315; the jail is at 900 Environmental Way, Idaho Falls, ID 83401.
- Sheriff reports and crash reports: use BCSO Records through JustFOIA, CrashDocs, or the in-person records office in the Law Enforcement Building at 605 N Capital Ave; sheriff main office 208-529-1375; dispatch/non-emergency 208-529-1200.
